Maxxsaw

The assignment was to create a mini circulair saw for Batavia. Batavia already has a wide assortment of saws, but now they wanted to have a saw without cable. They wanted a wireless saw with battery. 

Target group

The target group is the inexperienced user. The group is 20 to 50 years old. The mini hand circular saw is primarily used for small chores in the house.

Analysing phase

The project started with disassembling of a Batavia saw. This is a smart way to quickly know more about the product that you want to design. 

Concept phase

The saw needed to be ergonomic and easily to use for the target group. 

Shaping phase

The first sketches are similar to the concept that was chosen. Now with different ways to connect the battery to the saw.
